VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

COS Airport Ambassadors are committed to the delivery of effective, courteous information services to all passengers, visitors and employees. The goals of the program are achieved through the ongoing pursuit of quality in concert with goodwill and hospitality. Our volunteers are treated with appreciation and respect and reflect the diversity of the travelers served.

WHAT DO AMBASSADORS DO?

COS Airport Ambassadors act as good-will representatives, by providing courteous, friendly assistance from the Airport Information Center. The information Center, located at the bottom of the escalators on the lower level of the terminal, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The assistance volunteers offer is informational - Ambassadors inform, guide and direct. They also have the opportunity to participate in special projects and events that take place at the airport throughout the year.

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?

The airport is looking for volunteers who are willing to work twice a month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Individuals should have an outgoing personality, work well with a variety of people, possess good communication skills and be reliable. Anyone who volunteers as a COS Airport Ambassador is rewarded with a uniform, free parking, concession discounts and volunteer functions and outings.

Ambassador candidates should believe in excellent passenger service and be willing to learn effective customer service.
